4G and 5G Mobile Communication
We had pioneering research in OFDM/OFDMA technology and continuing our LTE research efforts in channel estimation, resource allocation, single frequency reuse, multicast broadcasting schemes, small cells and milimeter-wave mobile broadband wireless. For more information please click here.
Intra Vehicular Wireless Sensor Networks
We are the first lab in Europe to work on intra-vehicular wireless sensor networks (Marie Curie Reintegration Grant). We are modeling intra-vehicular channel model based on measurements in the commercial vehicles and developing optimal rate-adaptive medium access control protocols satisfying strict reliability, delay and energy efficiency requirements of vehicle control systems.
Wireless Magnetic Sensor Networks
We are the first lab to deploy wireless magnetic sensor networks in Istanbul (Istanbul Municipality Project). We are currently collecting data and analyzing performance. We are replacing inductive loops and video sensors with a low cost wireless sensor network.
Specific research areas currently investigated within the lab include: - 4G and 5G Mobile Wireless: LTE & Milimeter-wave Mobile Broadband - Intra-Vehicular Wireless Sensor Networks - M2M: Magnetic Wireless Sensor Networks - Software Defined Networking - Wireless Channel Modeling - Frequency Reuse - Inter-Vehicle Communication
